A colleague was asking about a challenge he had with logging into a WordPress website. After a little investigation I figured out he was trying to login login at 1:30 AM — the middle of the night. But he was successful later that same day at 11:30 AM.
I have a security setting that prevents login attempts between midnight to 6AM because lots of bad hack activity is attempted during the overnight.
His response: “I didn’t realize hackers were night owls!”

My response: “Actually you should think of it differently: While our part of the world is at rest, the other side of the world is active. That makes us vulnerable during our nighttime, even with automation.”
Always Be Vigilant! The bad guys don’t take days off.
